What Profound does
Profound tracks how AI answer engines describe and cite your brand, then adds tools around that data. Its product list includes Answer Engine Insights, Prompt Volumes (an estimate of how often questions are asked), Agent Analytics and an AI Marketer that runs marketing tasks with credits.
Agent Analytics reads site traffic from connected infrastructure, including Cloudflare, AWS, Vercel, Akamai, Fastly, Netlify, WordPress and Google Analytics, to show which automated agents reach a site. Profound says it holds SOC 2 Type II certification and offers SSO and role-based access.
Profound says more than 25,000 marketers in 90+ countries use it, and it names customers such as Plaid and Statsig on its site. Those figures come from Profound.

Profound also lists a self-serve Agency Growth plan with 400 credits a month per client workspace. The agency view of the pricing page does not show a dollar price in the text we could read.
Credits cover the AI Marketer and similar tasks. Profound's FAQ says that when an account passes its allotment it is either billed for overage or paused, set per account. Ask which one applies before you sign.
Which AI engines Profound covers
The trial covers ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. Enterprise lists up to nine answer engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek, Claude, Google AI Overviews and Exa Search. All of it sits behind the custom quote.
Prompts are daily on both plans. The trial's recommended prompt set is chosen by industry and cannot be customized, so it shows you the interface and the shape of the data more than your own market.
What Profound does well
Profound bundles a lot into one product. Tracking, prompt volume estimates, log-based agent analytics, ChatGPT Shopping and an agent workspace sit in one product, with SSO, role-based access and a 24-hour support SLA on the enterprise side. A company with a security review and several teams that need access will find the checklist items in place.
Unlimited users on both plans means the trial can be opened to the people who would use it. The FAQ also says Profound is not only for AI search, which fits how the product has grown into marketing workflows.
Where Profound falls short
No public price. A buyer cannot budget from the website. The only published numbers are trial limits.
The trial is narrow. It runs 7 days, uses a fixed prompt set for one region and one language, and has no exports, API, history or support. It shows the interface. It cannot show your market.
Credits add a second meter. Tracking and the AI Marketer draw on different allowances, and what happens past the allotment is set per account.
Breadth may exceed the job. A team that only needs to watch a few questions and edit a few pages pays for agent analytics and workflows it may not open.
Who Profound fits
Profound fits an organization with a marketing team, a security review and a budget set by quote. It suits buyers who want tracking, agent analytics and content workflows from one vendor, and who will bring a real task into the demo.
It fits less well a small team that wants a monthly price it can read today.
Other tools to weigh against Profound
Peec AI publishes prices: $95, $245 and $495 a month for 50, 150 and 350 prompts, with unlimited users and three active models. Read the Peec AI review or Peec AI vs Profound.
AthenaHQ has a free Essential tier and a $295 monthly Starter plan covering 11 models. See Profound vs AthenaHQ.
Otterly.AI starts at $29 a month for 15 prompts, with a 7-day trial that needs no card. Read the Otterly review.
SearchSeal. SearchSeal costs $79 a month for 60 questions on Starter, $179 for 150 on Pro and $399 for 400 on Max, with unlimited brands sharing one question pool. It asks every question each day on AI Overview, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, and saves each answer with its mentions and returned source links. It links each answer to ranked page fixes and does not offer agent analytics. SearchSeal does not track crawler traffic or human visits from AI tools, and a returned source link is not proof the answer used that page. See SearchSeal vs Profound. SearchSeal sells a competing product.
Is Profound worth the enterprise price?
The price is not public, so the answer comes from the quote. Take the same three inputs to every vendor: the questions you track, the engines you need and the people who will use the data. Then ask Profound what happens when credits run out and which of the nine engines your quote includes.
If the quote lands well above a published plan from Peec AI or SearchSeal, price the extra against a task you cannot do with the cheaper tool, such as log-based agent analytics or ChatGPT Shopping tracking.
