What Otterly does
Otterly runs your prompts on AI engines every day and reports brand mentions, sentiment, share of voice and the links the answers cite. Around that sits a set of tools: a GEO audit and a crawlability audit for URLs, a content check, a query fan-out tool and a prompt research tool. Recommendations for AI search optimization arrive three a week on Lite and without a limit from Standard.
Standard and Premium add an API, an MCP server and Agent Analytics, which reads crawler events. A Looker Studio connector starts at Standard.
Otterly pricing in 2026
The pricing page shows two prices per plan, with a monthly figure and a lower one under an annual toggle labelled 15% off. The lower numbers quoted here are the annual-toggle prices. The static page does not label which set belongs to which toggle, so this follows from the 15% label.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual toggle | Prompts | Workspaces | API, MCP, Agent Analytics |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lite | $29 | $25 | 15 | 1 | No |
| Standard | $189 | $160 | 100 | Unlimited | 2,000 API and 2,000 MCP requests, 200,000 events |
| Premium | $489 | $422 | 400 | Unlimited | 5,000 API and 5,000 MCP requests, 1,000,000 events |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | From 1,000 | Unlimited | Custom, with SSO and a dedicated manager |
Every plan has unlimited team members and daily tracking. The price per prompt on monthly billing is $1.93 on Lite, $1.89 on Standard and $1.22 on Premium.
A 7-day trial needs no card. Its limits are 50 prompts, 1,000 API calls and 1,000 MCP calls. There is no free tier, and a paid plan is required after the trial. The help article that says so is dated 4 August 2026.
Agencies can apply for a partner program after Standard or Premium. It raises the prompt count to 150 or 500 and adds unlimited workspaces, pitch workspaces and a single invoice.
Engines, and what adding them costs
ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot are in every plan. Three more are add-ons:
| Add-on | Lite | Standard | Premium |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gemini or Google AI Mode, each | $9 a month | $59 | $149 |
| Claude | $29 a month | $109 | $439 |
Lite with Gemini added costs $38 a month. Lite with Gemini, AI Mode and Claude costs $76. On Standard the same set costs $416.
Prompt add-ons work differently. A pack of 100 extra prompts costs $99 a month on Standard and Premium and is not offered on Lite. Standard can add up to 300 before Otterly moves the account to Premium.
What Otterly does well
Otterly has the lowest published entry price in this set and the clearest add-on list. You can see what Gemini or Claude will add before you commit. Unlimited team members and daily tracking on every plan keep the bill predictable as more people look at the data.
The trial needs no card and has stated limits. Agency partners get higher prompt counts and a single invoice across client workspaces. Standard and Premium state their API, MCP and Agent Analytics quotas in numbers, which is rarer than a feature checkbox.
Where Otterly falls short
Fifteen prompts is small. Lite covers one narrow topic. More prompts on Lite are not available as an add-on, so growth means moving to Standard at $189.
Add-ons change the headline price. A buyer who needs Gemini and Claude pays $38 a month more on Lite and $168 more on Standard.
Lite has no API, MCP or Agent Analytics. Those start at Standard.
Some details differ between pages. The pricing page says unlimited countries and languages, while the help page says support for 65 or more countries. History length is not stated.
The annual prices are not a clean 15%. Premium shows $422 against $489, which is 13.7% lower. Check the invoice total before you choose annual billing.
Who Otterly fits
Otterly fits a small business or a consultant who wants to watch a short list of questions on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot at a low cost. It also suits a first pilot, since the trial needs no card.
It fits less well a brand that needs Gemini and Claude from day one on a tight budget, or a team that needs several hundred prompts without moving to Premium.
Other tools to weigh against Otterly
Peec AI starts at $95 for 50 prompts with three active models and unlimited users. See Otterly vs Peec AI and the Peec AI review.
AthenaHQ has a free tier with five engines and 300 credits. See the AthenaHQ review.
Profound is quote-only for brands. See the Profound review.
SearchSeal. SearchSeal costs $79 a month for 60 questions on Starter, $179 for 150 on Pro and $399 for 400 on Max, with unlimited brands sharing one question pool. It asks every question each day on AI Overview, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, and saves each answer with its mentions and returned source links. Gemini is in every plan. Copilot is an add-on, priced at $9, $29 or $89 a month on Starter, Pro or Max. SearchSeal does not track crawler traffic or human visits from AI tools, and a returned source link is not proof the answer used that page. See SearchSeal vs Otterly. SearchSeal sells a competing product.
Is Otterly worth it?
Otterly is worth it for a small, stable prompt list on its four included engines. At $29 you can learn whether your category produces useful AI answers before you spend more. The case weakens once you add engines, since Lite with Gemini, AI Mode and Claude reaches $76 for 15 prompts.
Count the prompts and engines you need, price them with the add-on prices, and compare the total with a plan that includes more engines.
