Pick searches tied to buying decisions
Imagine Example Coffee sells espresso machines for small kitchens at example.com. All figures, questions and answer outcomes here are invented to explain the workflow. Connect its Google Search Console property during setup, choose the property and let the first import finish. Review the available queries and their reporting dates.
Suppose the imported rows include “compact espresso machine” with 900 impressions, “best espresso machine for small kitchen” with 420, and “espresso machine alternatives” with 180. Start with these because each relates to a buying decision the business can answer. Review the associated pages, clicks and average positions to understand which parts of the site already address those searches. Ignore a busy query if it concerns something the business does not sell.
Review the suggested buyer questions
SearchSeal's onboarding reads recent Search Console queries, combines their impressions and filters noisy entries such as search operators and bare entity names. It groups candidates into category, use-case and comparison topics, then selects questions using impressions and topic coverage. Built-in templates supply the wording. Each search-derived suggestion shows its query origin and impressions below the question so you can judge why it appeared.
For Example Coffee, useful buyer questions might be “Which compact espresso machines are worth considering?”, “Which espresso machine fits a small kitchen?” and “What alternatives should I compare before buying an espresso machine?” These are editorial examples, not a promise of the template's exact wording. Keep a suitable suggestion; otherwise untick it and use Add a question to write the wording you want. A manually added replacement is labelled as manual and loses the original query's demand link.
Check the suggested rival chips too. Keep companies the buyer would actually consider and add missing rivals. When no usable search suggestions are available, onboarding can suggest questions from the site's details, and you can still write your own.
Confirm the set and start tracking
Review the selected checkboxes before continuing. SearchSeal preselects suggestions within the available account question allowance; saving confirms the chosen set for the brand. Complete setup to start collecting answers. Monitoring currently uses AI Overview, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, with daily scans for tracked questions. Keep the question set focused enough that you can read the answers and act on what you find.
For this example, keep one category question, one small-kitchen question and one comparison question. That gives the business three distinct decisions to inspect. Leave the wording consistent while reviewing a page change, and record separately why you chose each question. A search-derived suggestion's recorded origin helps connect later fixes to observed search demand.
Read answers before choosing the fix
Open a tracked question and read its saved answers. Check whether Example Coffee is named, its position, which rivals appear and the source links returned. In our fictional result, an answer names Example Coffee below two rivals and references example.com/compact-machines. The page describes the products but leaves out their dimensions and required clearance.
Inspect the page and the answer together. Open Actions and review any related fix, including its reason, target URL, instruction and draft. An improvement to that page would give buyers the missing measurements and explain which machines fit a narrow counter. Check the specifications against the actual products, publish the correction on the site and mark the relevant fix done. Return to later answers and the before-and-after comparison to see what changed.
Keep the measurements in context
Google search volume is not AI prompt volume. Search Console impressions measure how often this property's results appeared, not all searches for a term or how many people asked an AI assistant the question. Search data also arrives after a processing lag; use its data-through date. Read the connection details for coverage. Dated answers come from the apps people use, with API fallback when an app answer cannot be collected. Samples vary by run, location and account; they are not rankings. A before-and-after difference does not prove the page edit caused it. Use the evidence to choose the next question or page to investigate.
