Why connect Bing as well as Google
Google Search Console shows only Google. Many teams never open Bing Webmaster Tools, so the searches people run on Bing stay out of their planning. Bing gives SearchSeal an independent view of queries bringing people to your site, helping you pick the next page to improve.
The connection is optional. You can track questions and read saved AI answers without it. It helps most when you have queued fixes and want to order them by search demand.
Bing figures also help when Google data is thin. A smaller site may see too few Google impressions on a query to rank a fix with confidence. Bing impressions give the ranking more evidence for that query; appearing on both engines is a stronger sign that buyers ask it.
Connect with read-only access
Open your brand's Integrations page and choose to connect Bing Webmaster. Bing opens its own sign-in and consent screen. SearchSeal asks for the read-only scope webmaster.read. After approval, pick a verified site from that Bing account. Each brand connects one site, and only sites verified in Bing can be chosen.
SearchSeal only reads data. It does not submit URLs, change settings or publish anything to your site or to Bing. A saved refresh token runs daily imports without another sign-in. If you later choose a different site, the data from the old site is cleared so the two are never added together.
What SearchSeal reads from Bing
SearchSeal reads daily clicks and impressions for the site, plus weekly lists of top queries and top pages with their clicks, impressions and average position. Each Bing request returns roughly five months of daily history, filling in past weeks on the first sync. Weekly lists cover the top 100 queries and pages, as Bing reports them.
Imports run daily; use Sync now to start one whenever you need it. The Integrations page shows the connected site, the date the data runs through, the last sync and any error. Bing data usually runs a couple of days behind today.
Where Bing data shows up
In the search view, Bing clicks, impressions and position appear beside the same Google figures, so you can see whether a page does better on one engine than the other. In the fix queue, Bing impressions for a query are added to Google's when SearchSeal ranks answer fixes. Questions tied to queries searched on both engines move up the list.
SearchSeal also selects pages with Bing clicks for Google's index checks, so pages important on Bing are included. Bing data is never included in public share links.
How it differs from Search Console
Both work the same way: connect, pick a site, import daily and disconnect when you want. The data is not the same. Bing provides weekly top queries and pages, not daily rows for every query and page pair. Bing does not report index status, so the index checks and the indexing and canonical fixes come from Google Search Console only.
Search fixes such as a falling page or a near-miss query are built from Google data. Bing supplies demand and context, without creating fixes itself.
Disconnecting and data use
Disconnect to delete the saved token and stop daily imports. Bing figures already imported stay with the brand until you delete the brand or your account, the same as Search Console data. Read the privacy policy for what is stored and how long it stays.
Search numbers describe past searches on Bing. They do not show what an AI tool answered, and rising clicks after an edit do not prove the edit caused them. Read them alongside the saved answers and dates.
