Schema markup generator

Pick a page type, fill in the details and copy the JSON-LD. Search engines and AI tools use it to understand your page.

Example code

<script type="application/ld+json">
{
  "@context": "https://schema.org",
  "@type": "FAQPage",
  "mainEntity": [
    {
      "@type": "Question",
      "name": "Can I cancel any time?",
      "acceptedAnswer": {
        "@type": "Answer",
        "text": "Yes. Cancel from Settings and you won't be charged again."
      }
    },
    {
      "@type": "Question",
      "name": "Do you offer a free trial?",
      "acceptedAnswer": {
        "@type": "Answer",
        "text": "Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. No card needed."
      }
    }
  ]
}
</script>

Paste it inside the page's <head>. Empty fields use the example values, so replace them before you publish.

Common questions

What is schema markup?

Schema markup is structured data in JSON-LD that uses the schema.org vocabulary to describe a page. It can identify a product and its price, a company and its profiles, or a set of questions and answers.

Where do I put the code?

Paste it into the page's HTML, usually inside the head. Google reads JSON-LD anywhere on the page, so the body works too. Most website builders have a custom code or header field for it.

Does schema markup help with AI search?

It helps search engines and AI tools identify your company, products and answers without guessing. It does not guarantee that an AI tool will cite you, but it removes one reason not to.

Will FAQ markup show my questions in Google results?

Probably not. Since 2023 Google shows FAQ rich results mainly for well-known government and health sites. The markup still helps search engines and AI tools read your answers as answers.

Which page type should I pick?

Use Organization for your home or about page, Product or Software app for pricing and product pages, Article for blog posts, Local business for a shop or office, and FAQ for pages with questions and answers.
