How SaaS Teams Use SearchSeal for AI Visibility

How a SaaS team can track when ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity recommend its product, which rivals win instead, and which pages to fix first. A walkthrough.

How can a SaaS team track AI answers with SearchSeal?

Software buyers now ask AI assistants for a shortlist before they open a comparison site, with questions like "best invoicing tool for small agencies", "Notion alternative for engineering teams" or "does X integrate with Salesforce", and a product that isn't in the answer doesn't make the list. This post shows how a SaaS team views those answers and acts on them with SearchSeal.

Why SaaS is different from hotels

When we studied 576 AI answers about hotels, the sources behind the answers were mostly travel guides and booking sites rather than hotels' own pages. Software buyers ask about features, integrations, pricing and alternatives, which your own docs, pricing, comparison and integration pages can answer directly, so your site carries more weight than a hotel's does.

1. Start with buyer questions

When you add your product, SearchSeal writes a starting set of buyer questions from your website, built around features, integrations and comparisons with named competitors. Connecting Google Search Console also lets it use searches that already bring people to your site. You can edit the questions or add your own through the app, the API or the MCP server.

2. Track every assistant daily

Each question runs every day on ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, with Copilot, Google AI Mode, DeepSeek, Claude, Grok and Sakana available as add-ons. Every answer is stored, letting you follow your share of answers over time rather than rely on one screenshot.

3. Know which rivals win

For each assistant, the Rivals view lists products named in answers that omit you and the questions each product wins. You can track up to 25 rivals per brand.

4. See the sources behind each answer

SearchSeal stores each answer's exact text alongside its returned source links, grouped by type. For SaaS these are often software review sites, "best tools" lists, comparison pages and vendor docs, and a "best X tools" list that keeps feeding answers while leaving you out becomes a task.

5. Fix pages in order of demand

The Actions page orders tasks by search demand and displays each task's evidence.

  1. Correct a fact, when an answer gets your pricing, limits or integrations wrong. Save your product facts once for SearchSeal to check answers against.
  2. Improve a page, when an answer uses one of your pages but the page doesn't fully answer the question.
  3. Write a page, when nothing on your site answers a question buyers ask, such as a comparison or an integration.
  4. Get listed, when a third-party list or review page keeps appearing without mentioning you.
  5. Fix search issues found in Search Console, such as pages that aren't indexed, wrong canonicals, weak titles, queries close to page one, two pages competing for one query and falling clicks.
  6. Fix site and page issues, such as AI search crawlers blocked in robots.txt, broken or hidden pages and missing structured data, with a JSON-LD snippet to paste.

After you mark a task done, SearchSeal compares answers from before and after to show what worked.

6. Bring it into your own tools

Every plan includes a REST API and an MCP server, so your team or your own AI agent can add questions, read answers, run page checks, update task status and draft articles from the same data.

7. One weekly email

Each Monday brings a scorecard, the top three tasks and changes, plus a read-only share link for the rest of the company.

What it doesn't do

Page checks don't run JavaScript or test speed. Share of answers is not market share, and the weekly email has no Google or Bing traffic figures. Search Console and Bing connections are read-only, and SearchSeal never edits your site.
