OG image checker
Check the picture your page shows when it is shared on X, LinkedIn, Slack and WhatsApp.
Common questions
What is an OG image?
The picture set in your page's og:image tag. X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Slack and chat apps show it when someone shares your link.
What size should it be?
Use 1200 by 630 pixels, a 1.91 to 1 shape. Keep the file small, ideally under 1 MB, to help chat apps load it.
Why does WhatsApp cut my image?
WhatsApp and iMessage often crop the middle of your image into a square thumbnail. Keep your title and logo near the centre so they stay visible.
I changed the image but the old one still shows. Why?
Platforms cache link previews. Use LinkedIn Post Inspector or the Facebook Sharing Debugger to fetch the page again. Other apps refresh on their own after a while.
Is there still a Twitter card validator?
X no longer shows a preview in its card validator. Use this checker to see the image and tags X reads, then post the link to check it there.
