What happened to Searchmetrics
Conductor announced the acquisition on 7 February 2023, citing more than 500 global customers and a Berlin office. The plan was to keep Searchmetrics support teams in place in the short term and later bring the best of its product onto Conductor’s platform. Today searchmetrics.com, its Suite page and its pricing page all redirect to conductor.com. We found no statement of when the Suite was switched off for customers.
The Suite page as the Internet Archive saved it on 19 April 2023 lists Research Cloud, Content Experience, Search Experience and Site Experience, plus an API, sold as enterprise SEO software with pricing on request. It lists no AI search tracking.
What Conductor sells now
Conductor lists Intelligence, Creator, Monitoring and AgentStack. Its AI Search Performance tracks ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews and more, builds prompts by persona and intent, has a Data API and MCP access, and runs on usage-based AI response credits across Essentials, Growth and Enterprise plans.
Its pricing page shows no dollar figures, and a pricing guide on its site offers a free trial of three weeks.
